Albert Whitted Airport is a gem of the beautiful and unique downtown waterfront experience of St. Petersburg, Florida. With 100,000 flights each year, it is integral to St. Pete’s tourism and economy, but it’s so much more than an airport. AWA enables Discovery, Opportunity, Safety, Mobility, and Preservation for everyone in the St. Petersburg community.
Friends of Albert Whitted Airport kicked off their inaugural round of flight scholarships with an uplifting award ceremony held at Sheltair Aviation on Saturday, April 1st, honoring the 19 St. Pete area young people (ages 16-24) who were awarded aviation scholarships.
