The 2024 Aerospace Day presented by Friends of Albert Whitted Airport in partnership with St Pete Air and Passage is a hands-on discovery of aeronautical STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Art and Math) at St. Petersburg’s Albert Whitted Airport.

Tampa Bay’s youth from local schools have been invited to an exclusive opportunity to explore multiple aspects of aerospace including space travel, air traffic control, software engineering, and private aviation. The kids will get to witness a US Coast Guard SAR (search and rescue) demonstration by a pilot and swimmer, as well as a USCG drone demonstration.

We’re excited to welcome world-renowned leaders including Lee Giat of Passage, NASA’s Aaron Shepard, and Lisa Pineda of the Sustainable Urban Agriculture Coalition. Hands-on activities include International Space Station hydra/hydroponic salad making, planetary viewing, and even the of creation of Blue Origin postcards to send to space!
