Our membership program offers community members like you a chance to play a pivotal role in preserving and promoting the airport’s rich history and vibrant future.

Membership Program Levels

Ground Crew

With your tax-deductible annual donation of $50 or more, you will receive recognition as a true friend of AWA and a member of our team.

Ground Crew Trainee

With an annual tax-deductible donation of $20.00 or more, aspiring Ground Crew members 15-years-old or younger can become a Ground Crew Trainee. Ground Crew Trainees will receive:

Early notice of Young Eagle flights
Early notice of opportunities to register for Aerospace Day and other special events
Commemorative stickers, letting them show others their support for AWA

Flight Crew

With your recurring monthly tax-deductible donation of $50 or more or your annual tax-deductible donation of $600 or more, you will receive recognition as a team member propelling FOAWA to new heights. You will receive all of the benefits of a member of our Ground Crew, plus:

Personalized invitations to our events, including our annual meeting, scholarship awards ceremony, and Aerospace Day
Select AWA-themed premiums

Captain

Captains are Flight Crew members demonstrating true financial leadership by contributing significantly to one or more of our events or programs. Captain’s rewards will be specially tailored to the contribution and may include:

Recognition in our Captain’s Log
Name and logo on published materials
Name and logo prominently displayed at events
Reserved seating at events
VIP experiences at events
Opportunities to participate in our Captains’ Briefings
AWA-themed premiums reserved for Captains

The mission of Friends of Albert Whitted Airport is to raise awareness of Albert Whitted Airport as an asset to the City of St. Petersburg; to educate the public about the need for public improvements and preservation of the historic site; to support inclusive community education for current and future generations; and to promote the Airport as a key element of the City’s vibrant downtown waterfront.
